About Nishan Aryal
Nishan Aryal is tech enthusiastic actively involved in OPEN Source Community from 2011. He has been supporting Open Community spread at University and College levels since his involvement in FOSS Nepal from 2012. He has been closely working with the Open Source Community and at current he is the president of the ICMS YouthMappers.
He has been pursuing his Master’s degree in Crisis Management Studies. His field of research in his Master’s thesis is “Identification and Management of Open Spaces in Kathmandu valley”. He has worked with European Union (EU), Nepal Government, UNDP, ILO, UNICEF, WWF Nepal, Oxfam, and many other organizations.
microsoft azure community
Nishan Kumar Aryal is Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Azure Category. He has been active in Microsoft Technologies since 2015 and was awarded with Microsoft MVP Award on Aug 2018.
He organizes many tech related events, trainings, talk shows and workshops focusing the Microsoft Azure Technologies. He is also trainer at Corporate Level and advocating about the usability, profitability and integration of the Microsoft Azure Technologies at Corporate levels.
ICMS Youthmappers
Nishan Aryal is is President of Institute of Crisis Management Studies YouthMappers Chapter. For strengthening the community engagement and mapping into OpenStreetMap, he has neen lending the different training and workshops through the ICMS YouthMappers.
YouthMappers was created in 2014 and launched on Capitol Hill in November 2015. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) generously supports YouthMappers. Founding partners are Texas Tech University, The George Washington University, and West Virginia University. Arizona State University is the lead fiscal and administrative partner, in collaboration with TTU, GWU and WVU.
